Hello and welcome to the very first blog post on Warwick’s Words — the digital home of my professional voice over services.
If you’ve landed here, you’re probably wondering, Who’s Warwick, and why should I trust him with my script? Fair question.
A Voice with a Background
I’m Warwick Doberer, an experienced commercial radio announcer with a long-standing love for the spoken word. Over the years, I’ve worked behind the mic, in front of it, and often been the one polishing the final product. I’ve got the experience, the tone, and the instinct to breathe life into your scripts — whether it’s a corporate explainer, a warm IVR welcome, or a punchy radio ad.
Voiceover isn’t just about having a “nice voice.” It’s about delivering meaning, personality, and trust in just a few seconds. That’s what I do. And this site is where I do it.
Why a Blog?
To be honest, this blog probably won’t be updated every week. But it will serve as a place to:
- Share behind-the-scenes stories and case studies
- Offer insights into the voice over process for curious clients
- Answer common questions like “What’s the difference between a dry read and a produced spot?” or “Do I really need a professional for my IVR?”
It’s also a place to showcase how voice can transform your brand — and how Warwick’s Words can help.
What’s Coming Next?
Some ideas I plan to explore in future posts include:
- Client Spotlights: Short case studies of projects I’ve completed (with permission, of course)
- Tips for First-Time Voice Over Clients: What to expect, what to send, and how to get the best result
- Scriptwriting Insights: Little tricks that make a big difference
- Studio Life: A glimpse into how I work and the gear I use
- Voiceover for Different Industries: From real estate to retail, what works and why
If there’s something you’d like to know or a topic you’d like me to cover, just get in touch via the contact page.
Thanks for stopping by — and if you need a voice that delivers clarity, warmth, and professionalism, you know where to find me.
Warm regards,
Warwick
